It’s A Balancing Act

One month ago I sat down for my first meeting with Charlotte Mapes, RD, LDN, the Wellness Dietitian for BayCare Fitness Center- Carillon. I knew I had the power to change some things that only I could control, and that meant getting rid of the pounds I’d allowed to creep back in my life. I have tried, and obviously failed at doing that before and it never gets easier as the years go by. So I’m very happy to say I’m seven pounds lighter!

Amazon Go On The Way

But what about being able to use that when those hunger pangs hit? Amazon is doing a test right now in Seattle with an actual store where you can do that. Take a look! What’s On The Menu?

Love hummus? Me too! But if you have some of this in the fridge from Trader Joes ditch it. They have recalled the Mediterranean Hummus or White Bean & Basil Hummus for possible listeria contamination. We have more info from Trader Joes for you here. But hey, it’s not that tough to make your own with as few as five ingredients, and add whatever special flavors you’d like. Tahini is a sesame paste that is the base for most recipes, but you can make a very nice version without it.
