Now this is my kind of start to the weekend – Friday is National Chocolate Cake Day. Like we need just one day to celebrate as life-changing as the perfect slice of chocolate cake? It’s my favorite kind of cake, and some would suggest on such as auspicious day that we include chocolate cake in one form or another in every meal. Works for me – and if you have an all-time insanely good recipe for chocolate cake you’d like to share, or where you find the best cake in Tampa Bay, feel free to share that with the rest of the class right here. We love you for that.
Looking for something good – and cheap? Laura Reiley favorite food critic from The Tampa Bay times has her annual Cheap Eats edition of the Top 50 Restaurants in Tampa Bay and it’s one to keep on hand when you’re trying to come with something delicious and not overpriced. Agree or disagree with the rankings it’s still does all the work for us. Check it out and start checking them off one by one.
With that big game coming up next weekend you know we just lose our respective minds when it comes to who can top who in tailgating. Grab the tums and see how the battle between Bon Appétit and Epicurious to create nachos featuring 50 ingredients in honor of Super Bowl 50 turned out. I’m sure you could beat them both.
I’m as guilty as you when it comes to putting things in the fridge when they don’t need to be there – tomatoes for instance. But you might be surprised by what else in on the list. Clip and save. And make sure you enter to win the latest from the Ann Kelly’s Kitchen Collection – Clean Eating for Busy Families from Michelle Dudash.
