There are new recalls and why I love Ina Garten in Ann Kelly’s Kitchen! Let’s get to those recalls first since they’re two very well-known products.  This update is for a local product. Uncle John’s Pride, LLC., a Tampa company is recalling approximately 139,909 pounds of ready-to-eat smoked meat and poultry sausage products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials. You can view the full list and pictures of the packaging here.

Frito Lay

Frito Lay is voluntarily recalling select brands of its jalapeno-flavored chips due to concerns of salmonella contamination. The actual problem is with the season powder. Check which brand you need to get rid of and for more information

What! Not our chicken noodle soup, but yes, Campbell’s has put out on recall on over 4,100 pounds of chicken products for misbranding and undeclared allergens for their 18.6-oz. cans of “Campbell’s Homestyle Healthy Request Chicken with Whole Grain Pasta”. You can view that full recall and take that out of the pantry as well.

Here’s a weird one – golf ball pieces in hash browns? Yes, somehow they say when the potatoes were harvested there might have been a golf ball or two chopped up with them. My best guess? There’s a driving range next door but the recall does include Florida so check and see if you have them in the freezer. These are the 2-pound-bags of Harris Teeter Brand Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns.

Then there’s Ina…and of course Jeffrey. I have loved Ina’s show for a long time but wonder just how anyone can be as calm as she is all the time. Could it be that Hampton’s house and a wonderful husband?  Or something else?  Well, yes and no. It’s was the decision not to have kids, and here’s why.

They say that gardens look better when they are created by loving gardeners rather than by landscapers, because the garden is more tended to and cared for. The same thing goes for cooking. I only cook for people I love. – Ina Garten
