Some chefs are celebrity chefs. Some own restaurants, and some even have their own wine. Chef Fabio Viviani is all three and a lot more. Add his new book “Fabio’s 30-Minute Italian: Over 100 Fabulous, Quick and Easy Recipes and that’s Italian! Of course, when you grown up in Florence, Italy it may come naturally. But take that passion for food and family and pack it into one book? This works, and it’s an easy way to introduce yourself to what you may have been missing in your own cooking repertoire.
He’s one busy guy, but I was lucky enough to catch up with Chef Fabio for a few minutes and you’ll enjoy what he has to say about his new book, what it takes to be a chef first/celeb second and a new dad. Yes, I’d say he has it all, too. Check his web site for the latest including where to make that coveted reservation at one of his many restaurants. The next time I’m home in Cleveland I’ll be sure to give Mercato a try.
