Lower Prices At Whole Foods?

Amazon bought Whole Foods. That much we know. But now, we know a lot more. Starting Monday Amazon has promised to lower prices and give special savings and in-store benefits to Amazon Prime members. I happen to be one of those and I haven’t shopped at Whole Foods in some time. Like you, I thought things were overpriced and since there are many competitors with lower prices that’s where I’ve been going. That’s despite the fact that Whole Foods is very close to my house, the others aren’t. There’s supposed to be more in the works so I’ll take a look and let you know how things look.

Starbucks Sushi/Food & Wine

When I read this story, my initial reaction was ick! But since I’ve bought some of the grab-and-go items from Starbucks already, why not try the Sushi Burrito? Sounds pretty tasty but there’s just one problem. Like so many test items this will only be available in a few locations – like Seattle and Chicago. We’ll have to wait and see if it makes it to our end of the world.

Cleaning out the fridge and freezer? There may be a few items in your freezer that have no business being there. These make sense, especially the one about anything fizzy. Forget just once that you put that Coke in the freezer and you won’t like the explosive results. Or cleaning them up!
