Lightning Unveil New Menu

It’s opening weekend for the Tampa Bay Lightning and there’s no way you’ll go hungry at Amalie Arena. The team has unveiled some of the new dining options this year. Head Chef Brent Lewis and his team are preparing new and healthier dining options that will include shrimp and other seafood locally sourced along the Florida coastline. But this is what really caught my attention – a fully functional hydroponic garden at Amalie with over 3,000 spaces the arena kitchens will take advantage of all year-long. It has the distinction of being the largest hydroponic garden in the National Hockey League. Pretty cool!

The offerings at Amalie have always been impressive and you can check the full list of restaurants and concession stands below. Look for a trip to the garden in Ann Kelly’s Kitchen soon and make sure to follow the Lightning at home and on the road.
